This morning was a social play morning, and we had over 20 players in attendance, with a sprinkling of ‘newbies’ in there, which means that our membership has grown to over 100 in less than 4 months. This is a great achievement by everyone that has supported the idea of a League in the area.

Players are travelling quite some distance to join in – Leeds, Thirsk, Malton, Pocklington and Selby – not to mention the many more local places around the city of York

It is also noticeable that the standard of play is ever increasing, but we remain inclusive to all levels and abilities, so please don’t be put off for any reason, just come on down and join us

As we grow we want to enhance our offer and current things under consideration are – increasing the number of teams playing, moving to 2 leagues, developing a representative team for the elite players, more social play events for those who don’t want to play competitively and introducing a range of YDPL branded sportswear
